Main purpose of the job:

We are looking for a Big Data Engineer that will work on the collecting, storing, processing, analyzing of huge sets of data,

and help us make smarter decisions where strategically important for Faurecia: from Automotive Mobility Experience in order to provide the right services to clients, to Manufacturing efficiency to enable our Industry 4.0 Excellence plan.

The primary focus will be on choosing optimal solutions to use for these purposes, then implementing them. You will also be responsible for integrating them with the architecture used across the company.


Main missions and results:


• Develop Big data solutions  

o Contribute to functional analysis with the business users and translate user’s needs into structured “Data Pipeline”

o Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling and Develop data set processes

o Mock-up the solution in agile manner together with the key-user

o Develop and test each solution component until its industrialization

o Develop and automate continuous deployment pipeline and DevOps

o Support users

 

• Contribute to the evolution of the Big Data platform and ability to contribute in system improvements and innovations

• Work with Agile and DevOps techniques and implementation approaches in delivery 

 

• Continuous improvement actor

o Keep constant track of open source market evolutions(assess new tools, anticipate obsolete ones)

o Contribute to platform industrialization initiatives and actions plan

o Share his expertise with other team members to facilitate knowledge transfer

 

• Communication skills to work across departments to understand what business leaders want to gain from the company’s large datasets

• Able to collaborate well with others including considering others’ perspectives on methodologies and technologies

Key Qualifications :

o Hadoop ecosystem/stack and proficient understanding of distributed computing principles

o Kafka, Nifi

o Framework SPARK

o Scala/PySpark/Java/Python

o Open source skills, Linux and Docker technologies

o Knowledge of at least one industry standard orchestration tool (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)

o Agile and DevOps delivery practices, experience with continuous integration, automated code reviews and regression testing using tool

o Experience with Cloudera, Dataiku and Cloud Services

 

Required level & experience:

o Minimum experience : 2 years in the domain

           o Excellent English level
