Our GIS Division is looking for a Big Data Manager for its HQ Site at Nanterre, FRANCE.

Provide the overall guidance and structure for creating, maintaining and promoting the Big Data landscape and application services.

Technology watch to align Big Data solutions and business needs as well as proper integraiton in Faurecia legacy systems landscape.

 

 

Main Duties:

 

§  Support strategic approaches and maintain alignment of development projects with enterprise strategic direction and application architecture.

§  Assume a leadership role in establishing and insuring compliance with IT governance policies and initiatives including standards, best practices and policies

§  Document the desired future state of big data architecture, and document the gaps between current and future states.

§  Anticipate emerging business needs and provide information technology recommendations to the business.

§  Design, document and drive adoption of big data and data science solutions.

§  Lead activities with external vendors and internal team to identify, evaluate and recommend software.

§  Oversee projects from the conception stage right down through built and eventual completion, making sure that project teams meet quality, integration and business goals.

§  Resolve high-level functional issues.

§  Coach the Big Data Team in the development of the solutions,

§  Collaborate with the Business Systems Competence Centers, FCS and Architecture in the analysis, design and development of new applications and ecosystems.

§  Liaise with network administrators and software engineers to assist with quality assurance, design and integration.

§  Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated plans for Big Data solutions and services.

§  Recommend software improvements, patches, upgrades, and/or purchases.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

 

§  University degree in the field of business administration, computer science or management information systems. <?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

§  Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products. 

§  Extensive experience (5+ years) with Big Data, Business Intellicence, ETL and MDM.

§  Proficiency with Hadoop ecosystem, MapReduce, HDFS with special interest on Flume, Hive, Hue, Sqoop and Kafka.

§  Experience with building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Storm or Spark-Streaming.

§  Good knowledge of Big Data querying tools, such as Pig, Hive, and Impala.

§  Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources.

§  Knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks, such as Flume.

§  Experience with NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB.

§  Experience with messaging systems, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ

§  Experience with Big Data ML toolkits, such as Mahout, SparkML.

§  Good understanding of Lambda Architecture, along with its advantages and drawbacks.

§  Knowledge of data science methodology and some of the most common tools and languages: Python, R, Jupiter, machine learning algorithms…

§  Deep understanding of he application stack including micro-services in Java, NodeJS…

§  Will be a plus additional knowledge on Cloudera stack: Impala, Kudu…

§  Solid project management skills.

§  Excellent  understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

§  Solid written and oral communication skills as well as listening and interpersonal skills.

§  Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.

§  Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

§  Highly self motivated and directed.

§  Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

§  Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
