Our Emission Control Division is looking for an Thermofluid Dynamics Engineer (W/M) for its R&D center at Bavans Essential responsibilities and duties
Development of Thermofluid Dynamics methodologies (CFD: Computational Fluid Dynamics) dedicated to fuel cell technology. Validation of the simulation methodologies by means of validation test campaigns. Technical support towards innovation and development teams.
 
The main missions of the role are:
  • Development, improvement of fluidic, thermal, and electrochemical simulation methodologies
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary development team (proposal of technical solutions, conduction of CFD-simulations, definition and realization of tests)
  • Realization and analysis of test campaigns (fluid distribution, backpressure, 2-phase flow, heat exchange, electrochemistry). Development of measurement procedures
  • Validation & adjustment of the CFD tools
  • Assessment and validation of new software versions
  • Market investigation concerning products, tools and technology related to fuel cell technology
  • Technical communication with internal and external customers
  • Elaboration of documentations on simulation and testing standards
  • Preparation of publications and assistance to diploma students
  • Training of co-workers
Qualifications:
 
  • Master degree or PhD in Mechanics and/or in Energy
  • Mandatory: 2 years experience in automotive industry / 3 years experience in CFD computation.
  • Good knowledge in
    •  fluid mechanics (theory and applications)
    • Thermal transfert, gaz and fluid dynamics & diphasics flow.
    • Electrochemical (theory and applications)
    • Fuel cell working principles
    • ICE and aftertreatment system
    • Test definition (equipement & analysis).
    • CFD et thermal simulation tools (Star-CCM+ / Comsol / TAITherm)
    • CFD pré- /post processing tools (Hypermesh, Ensight)
    • Langage de programmation (Java)
    • MS-office & Unix / Linux applications
    • Anglais  (TOEIC > 750)
