Our Interior Systems Product Group is looking for a Data Scientist  its Valencia R&D Center.
 

In the framework of the Central Manufacturing Engineering of Faurecia Interior System Business Group (FIS), his/her main responsibilities are to develop Big Data applications in operations for Faurecia Interiors Systems (FIS):

 

  • Develop and adapt advanced computer vision and state-of-the-art deep learning techniques for object detection/ classification/ tracking, ergonomics recognition, scene understanding, and activity recognition applications.
  • Analyze and optimize image understanding performance on diverse multi-sensor data sets.
  • Design and architect practical systems for solving challenging image understanding problems.
  • Implement computationally complex model training and image understanding applications on high performance embedded computational processing environments.
  • Work closely with a team of experienced data scientists to successfully execute R&D projects and continue to grow our business base.


 

The ideal candidate will have/be:
  • MS or PhD in computer science, applied mathematics, electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Relevant experience in the development and application of computer vision and/or machine learning algorithms to solve challenging image understanding problems.
  • Strong scientific programming skills, including C/C++, MATLAB, Python.
  • Independent analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience collaborating within research teams to develop advanced research concepts, prototypes, and systems.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements to determine research focus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to describe complex technical concepts to fellow researchers as well as to non-technical people.
