Faurecia Clean Mobility is looking for a Controls Engineering Specialist  to be based at its Technical Center in Columbus, IN
 
The main missions of the role are to:

 

Provide controls / electrical engineering support to the assigned UAP cell and maintenance efforts.  Become the Controls Engineer expert and assist maintenance in supporting the plant UAP through trouble shooting / problem solving methodologies to eliminate down time and decrease quality defects to the customer. Write / create / modify programs to meet the plant objectives.
Represent NAO with the global core group with the development of global controls and electrical engineering standards as it relates to FCM equipment, tooling, gauges, and facilities.  
 
  • Provide Controls engineering support to NAO manufacturing plants and program launch teams as required.
  • Work with the Global network team to develop standards for controls, equipment, tooling, etc.
  • Provide support to the Quality Department and Quality Engineer as required.
  • Provide support/development of informational data control for traceability and conformity (TCO).
  • Develop standards for automation controls, visual management,  diagnostics, operational efficiency, remote access and HSE requirements
  • Review processes and procedures on an on-going basis for safety, quality and production efficiency
  • Participate in Hoshin and Continuous Improvement events as assigned
  • Provide input into PFMEA generation for new programs
  • Provide justification for standards changes
  • Support Quality Department for customer and manufacturing plant issues - QRQI’s
  • Provide justification of major purchases for NAO Regional Process Specialist team to manager
  • Provide input to HSE department for the development of standards
  • Stay informed of environmental aspects, follow procedures and work to eliminate or reduce the PFMEA ratings as it relates to position and/or department
  • Stay informed of quality issues and opportunities as relates to position and/or department. Follow procedures and corrective action assignments as required eliminating or reducing PPM’s
  • Complete all other duties and tasks as assigned by management

 

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

 

  • Minimum BS Degree in Engineering or Technical discipline ; or, minimum 5 years previous experience as Manufacturing Engineer / Masters Degree Preferred
  • Automotive manufacturing  experience
  • Autocad – electrical and mechanical ;
  • Rockwell Software Logix Designer, Factory Talk View, Schneider Viejo Designer Fanuc Weld Pro, Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Industry standards/codes including but not limited to NFPA 70, NFPA 79, 13849-1/2, Sistema, RIA 15.06
