Our Faurecia Interior Systems, North America Division is looking for a Costing Intern for its Technical Center in Auburn Hills.

 

The role of an Intern is to aid the Costing department.  

 

The main missions of the role are: 

  • Assist Cost Estimators during the acquisition process – assist and gather data from other functions
  • Assist in gathering specific manufacturing plant data and create data sheets for all Interior processes
  • Maintain the internal database (local to NAO – North American Operations) for costing as it relates to the global costing tool
  • Understand the overhead and profit & loss structure as it relates to the costing tools and reports
  • Run costing reports from the global costing tool when requested by program team members
  • Assist Cost Estimators with make versus buy scenarios
  • Maintain list of WBS codes for all business units (work with Controlling department to ensure uop-to-date list)
  • Work with Cost Estimators (locally) at the manufacturing plant when doing a program pre and post audit
  • Understand the Engineering Change Management process and assist
  • Cost Estimators when needed

 

 

This internship will begin as soon as possible and will last until completion of graduation, with full time status.

·         Results oriented with strong written and oral communications skills

·         Ability to work in a matrixed organization

·         Minimum GPA 3.0

·         Self-Sufficient

·         Self Starter

·         Strong Interpersonal and Team Skills

·         Strong Organizational Skills

·         Good Microsoft Office and Excel skills, strong computer usage skills

·         Strong Analytical skills

·         Proficient level of English
