Our Comfort and Trim Systems Division is looking for a Cost Analyst for its site based in São João de Madeira (Portugal).


 

The Costing Engineer role is to provide a consolidated cost (Serial cost) all along the different phases of acquisition and program (until SOP+6), in line with actual product definition, and potential modifications.  

 

 

 

The main missions of the role are to :

  • Analyse existing products and processes (BOM or master principles) and provide estimated cost on a defined product basis
  • Secure utilization of official rates (for materials, plants, machines, ...) & standards (cycle process, SCRAP, ...)
  • Provide cost information details, status and follow up (monitoring, explanation)
  • Analyse & challenge cost information provided
  • Ensure cost evolution detailed folloy up & tracability for piece costs
  • Support the program controller into the Business Plan updates explanations or Risks & Opportunities estimates
  • Support cost requests for make or muy, to facilitate decision makin (challenge suppliers)
  • Ensure program costing procedures implementation and Golden Rules compliance

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Master’s degree in engineering, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with +5 years industrial experience
  • Minimum 2/3 years experience in an industrial environment including a first technical experience (production, manufacturing engineering,…)
  • Technical knowledge in one or several products and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to provide qualitative and reliable information, and to work on a project management basis
  • Ability to manage uncertainty and take hypothesis
  • Good communication skills and autonomy
  • Fluent in English
