Our Faurecia Clean Mobility division is looking for a Deputy Program Manager for its Clean Mobility Crossroads location in Columbus, Indiana.

 

The Deputy Program Manager manages a specific project within a program in development (According to Faurecia Group definition).

The Deputy Program Manager is responsible to achieve the project objectives (Time, cost, quality, performance) in conjunction with Customer satisfaction. He/She leads all aspects of the project, from award until 4-6 months post Start of Production.

The Deputy Program Manager should act as a role model in the organization by demonstrating Entrepreneurship, Autonomy and Accountability.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with the customer and manage the ongoing negotiations as the official Faurecia representative.

  • Functionally manage project team (Sales, Controlling, Purchasing, Quality, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations).

  • Cascade project objectives to team members' individual objectives and assignments.

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining project planning.

  • Ensure timeliness of task & deliverables completion.

  • Respect project budget & meet or exceed profitability targets.

  • Establish proper team work coordination (Project, plant, suppliers and customer).

  • Control project scope change (Time, cost, quality, performance).

  • Organize regular project meetings throughout visual charts, facts and data.

  • Conduct Risk/Opportunity analysis, mitigation and alert process.

  • Arbitrate any issues internally or externally within the project scope.

  • Set-up Production in accordance with Faurecia & customer requirements to prepare for a non-event Start of Production in the plant.

  • Apply the Faurecia Program Management System standards, tools and guidelines in a rigorous manner.

  • Report regularly on project progress status to the stakeholders.

  • Capture & share lessons learned.

  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.

Position Specifications:

 

Knowledge / Skills:

  • Results oriented.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Conflict management skills: ability to prevent and solve conflicts.

  • Knowledge of Program standards, tools and methods.

  • Fluent in English and in the customer language.

  • Ability to establish, develop, lead and unite a team.

  • Strong financial knowledge (P&L, Cash flow).

  • Planning and organizational abilities.

 

Experience / Education:

  • Master’s degree, ideally in engineering.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of job experience (in an industrial environment and/or with product experience a plus).

  • Minimum 1 year of project experience
