Our Business Group Faurecia Interiors, which develops and produces dashboards, center consoles, cockpit and door panels, is looking for a  Display and Lighting specialist engineer for its Méru R & D Center (Hauts-de-France).
Essential responsibilities and duties:
The display and lighting specialist engineer is in charge to support with her/his experience and knowledge projects and activities requiring his competencies. He is also in charge of putting in place organization, standards, equipment and deployment of display and lighting competencies inside the company.
 The main missions of the role are:
  • Create maintain and deploy standard specifications for displays, touch panel and optical components
  • Be the technical referent for display and optical components related discussion in front of the customer
  • Manage the technical relationship with the display suppliers in line with purchasing strategy
  • Transform customer expectation into optical component specification for suppliers
  • Create, deploy and animate internal trainings
  • Define testing characterization and validation plan for display and optical components
  • Support product validation plan and process
  • Define laboratory equipments for optical characterizations, tests and validations
  • Drive evaluation and benchmark activities of displays and optical components suppliers to identify best in class technologies
  • Generate innovation and facilitate integration in Smart Surfaces product
  • Participate in supplier panel creations
  • Support when required supplier evaluation and audits
Qualifications needed:


  • Bachelor's degree in optics/electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience on display applications, in product development context
  • Knowledge of measurement metrology is a plus
  • Good understanding of display technologies effects on his/her technology domain.
  • Understanding of the systems where his/her technology domain is involved.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Technological curiosity.
  • Scientific approach (6 sigma, design of experience).
  • Design to cost approach.
  • Standard PC software knowledge (MS Office, etc.) and comfortable with digital tools.
  • Understand optical simulation tools (ie:Optis/SPEOS…), being able to use them is a plus.
  • Intercultural and open mindset, overseas experiences a plus.
  • Flexibility for frequent business travel.
  • Fluent in English.
