Our Interiors Business Group is looking for a Global Innovation Purchasing Manager based in Méru (France).


The BG Innovation Purchasing Manager is in charge of all purchasing activities linked to innovation and partnerships. He/she represents Purchasing within Innovation teams.


The main responsibilities of the role are to:

  • manage advanced technology / supplier market analysis
  • may represent purchasing during some M&A activities
  • support all related supplier/ partner contractual topics (Non-Disclosure Agreements, co-development & supply contracts, patents, Intellectual assets, etc.) in coordination with other departments
  • align with purchasing commodities on future needs, technologies, partners and suppliers to be developed for innovation. As such he/she is in charge of facilitating the new supplier’s introduction to the restricted targeted supplier panel
  • participate in increasing robustness and shortening of development time for our innovations. As well participate actively to first acquisitions
  • Organize processes to ‘capture’ innovations from panel suppliers and outside the panel
  • Build the link between Innovation priorities and identified ideas and partners
  • Select appropriately suppliers in conjunction with innovation teams and purchasing commodities
  • Participate actively to development and validation of solutions with appropriate eco-systems and key stakeholders
  • Identify, supported by Marketing and Research, companies outside of the panel which can deliver innovation
  • Establish and/or participate in innovation partnerships (contracts) with selected suppliers
  • Manage operationally the suppliers in the innovation process accordingly to our procedures (from M0 to M4).


The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Engineering background with purchasing experience
  • Minimum 5-year experience in automotive sector and/or electronic industry
  • Passion for product/process technologies
  • Business oriented, passion for negotiation
  • Knowledge in contractual and legal aspects
  • Curious and creative
  • International mindset, overseas experience a plus
  • Minimum bilingual (English required)
