We develop our products for both first-fit and retrofit, and with quality meeting industry standards. Amminex is owned by the large French automotive supplier Faurecia (91.5 %) and Nordea-Fonden (8.5 %). 


Amminex is growing rapidly, and we are now looking for a Hardware Design Manager to be based in our R&D center / HQ in Copenhagen, DK.

 

The Hardware Design Manager (HDM) is managing a team of 10 to 15 engineers for the development of all ASDS mechanical components and assembled systems, from requirements phase to handover to production. As one of the 3 managers of the Amminex R&D department, the HDM is participating in the development of the R&D strategy for products and processes. The Hardware Design team consists of senior component product owners, mechanical component designers, component test engineers and technicians.

Essential responsibilities and duties

o   Line management of a group of 10 to 15 engineers for the development of all ASDS mechanical components and assembled systems.

 

The main missions of the role are:

  • To lead all technical deliverables of the team for the design of ASDS core components and assembled systems, including system frame and brackets, refillable Ammonia cartridges, dosing components, gas hoses and connectors.
  • To ensure a mindset focusing on design to cost, design to manufacture and design to control.
  • To define the budget of the team in terms of headcount and external costs (estimated, current, end of year).
  • To define the HW and SW tools and equipment needed by the team.
  • To apply a development process based on automotive standards and processes.
  • To participate in the definition of an efficient organization.

Line management responsibilities: annual appraisals, personal development, recruitment.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Experience:

·       Minimum education level: Master of Science

·       Line management experience.

·       Experience in system engineering and automotive development processes.

·       Important experience in mechanical design and manufacturing processes (design to manufacturing and design to cost).

·       Good skills in mechanical design, testing, requirements and automotive quality standards.
