Our North America Division is looking for a Health, Safety and Environment intern for its Saline plant in Michigan.
 
Your main duties will be to:
    • Respect and enforce the Group, Business Group, and Division HSE policy, procedures and programs
    • Assist with developing training resources and updating the HSE Dojo
    • Organize employee lists for tracking PPE distribution and other items
    • Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of the Plant ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) and continual improvement of site environmental performance
    • Support site preparations for regulatory inspections
    • Conduct audits of plant GHS compliance and assist in resolving concerns identified
    • Research regulations and assist in creating HSE flash/stand-down communications
    • Conduct audits/coaching of specific HSE mandatory rules and logistic guidelines
    • Assist in implementation and tracking of HSE Core Teams
    • Conduct, document and track workstation risk and ergonomic assessments
    • Support commitments established in the ISO 14001 Environmental Policy
    • Follow requirements established in Saline Plant ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and work instructions
    • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.
This internship will begin as soon as possible.
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a Health, Safety, Environment related program
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Some knowledge of ISO 14001 preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient level of English.
