Our North American Seating Division is looking for an HR Business Partner to be based at its Auburn Hills, MI office.


Position Summary:


The role of an HR Business Partner is to effectively execute human resources strategies in support of the annual objectives in the areas of talent acquisition, performance management, learning & development, compensation and organizational development


Main missions of the role:


  • Recommends action plans and participates in their deployment. 
  • Works with cross functional teams, other HR teams, Division and Country HR members to ensure the effective delivery of HR support/services to the business. 
  • Coordinates and assists management in all talent acquisition activities including but not limited to recruitment and talent pipeline development, university relations and community partnerships (FUELS)
  • Responsible for ensuring headcount meets budget requirements.
  • Assists with group people review and talent committees for assigned population; assist with Salary Review process and ensure appropriate linkages with broader functional and business reviews
  • Work with management team to drive talent development (mentoring, leadership, training and development programs, performance improvement plans, etc.).  
  • Serve as BG Training Correspondent, working with Faurecia University and internal customers to identify training needs based on induction plans, development actions, and training plans.
  • Employee Relations: Follow vision established within Being Faurecia.  Act with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as with autonomy and accountability.  Monitors the effectiveness of employee relations programs and policies.
  • Recommends and assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee handbooks, and/or meetings.
  • Provide sound advice and counsel to management in all employee relations matters.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of employee engagement activities.
  • Management of onboarding and off-boarding planning and actions.
  • Coordinating, tracking and inputting month-end and year-end activities into reporting tool, including budget, monthly actuals, forecast and annual social report.
  • Work with finance team and various stakeholders to ensure effective management and communication of headcount budget.
  • Administration: Manages and maintains required databases.
  • Conducts formal company orientation with new hires and assists with onboarding actions.
  • Maintain record keeping within Faurecia standards.
  • Ensures associate information in HRIS systems is accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure efficient payroll and administration processes.
  • Serve as cost center approver in VIMS.  Responsible for reviewing and approving invoices.
  • Supports benefit administration.
  • Creates and Maintains training matrices and associate training records.
  • Answers employee queries related to payroll and other HR related matters.
  • Manages immigration process for employees.
  • Counsels management on Federal and State Employment law.


Knowledge / Skills:<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" />


  • Master's and/or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
  • Minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct mediation, lead trainings, etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate managerial courage with all levels of the employee population.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems (Globalview, ADP, Taleo, PIMS, METIS, SAP (FCS, VIMS, SRM)
  • Sensitive treatment of confidential information.
  • Must be willing and able to meet deadlines (payroll, monthly reporting, social report, projects)
  • Experience in a manufacturing company.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficient.
  • Intermediate knowledge of employment laws.
  • Ability to manage conflict
  • Knowledge of benefits and compensation.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Service-oriented communication skills
  • Performance needs to be in accordance with the Faurecia core competencies
