Our Business Group Faurecia Interiors, which develops and produces dashboards, center consoles, cockpit and door panels, is looking for a Thermoplastic material Engineer for its Méru R & D Center (France).



Job Description:


Within an international team of 10 people, the Thermoplastic material Engineer will bring his knowledge and passion in polymers and composites fields (injection process).

They will have a strong intimacy with clients to provide global technical support by offering their material, product and process expertise on several projects and at various stages of development and validation.

Regular international travels will be necessary to lead their missions.

They will validate new material and process for all Faurecia Interiors products (Instrument panels, door panels, console, ...).


The main responsibilities of the Thermoplastic material Engineer will be :


·         Promote and deploy Faurecia's technology portfolio to project teams from the acquisition phase, to the development phase, to serial life

·         Key contact for internal and external customers

·         Participate in the deployment of new technological concepts in close collaboration with the innovation teams,

·         Participate to trials in plants

·         Conduct internal and external benchmarks and monitor technological progress in order to build the technological roadmap in line with the company's Strategic Plan

·         Capitalize technical knowledge through the writing of standards and policies for product / process design and development, in collaboration with other departments

·         Initiate improvement of the existing standards based on feedback from project teams

·         Transfer technical know-how within Faurecia Interiors: design and lead training modules within the Technology Academy (internal university)


The ideal candidate will have:


        Degree in Engineering (Materials) specialized in polymers and composites

        3 to 5 years’ experience in materials field

        Fluent in English

        Interpersonal skills

        Ability to animate meetings and workshops with internal and external customers

        Technical curiosity and passion

        Scientific approach

        Knowledge of standard software (MS Office) and at ease with digital tools
