Owned by the large French automotive supplier Faurecia, Amminex Emissions Technology is a Danish based clean tech company with a new and unique technology and solution for automotive emissions control. The technology, the Ammonia Storage and Delivery System (ASDS) dramatically reduce the amount of NOx released by diesel cars and trucks with SCR catalysts, which is a focus area for the automotive industry today. The heart of the technology is based on the patented material AdAmmine, which can store Ammonia safely at very high density and release it again in gaseous form.

Amminex is growing fast, we are now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer.

The job is based at the corporate headquarters in Søborg, Denmark – close to Copenhagen city.

 

Our Hardware design team is responsible for designing all mechanical components of the Ammonia Storage and Delivery System (ASDS) to ensure quality, design to cost, design to manufacture, delivery and performance targets and requirements.

 

Your main responsibilities will be:

·       Design components and subsystems based on customer requirements.

·       Follow the complete development process, from requirements engineering to design, prototyping, validation, sourcing and handover to production.

·       Work closely with other design engineers to ensure proper fit and function with interfacing systems

·       Work closely with procurement personnel and suppliers to control cost while maintaining functional requirements

·       Create 3D models and 2D drawings to communicate design intent to suppliers, customer and internal stakeholders.

Ideal candidate will be / have:

·       3-5 years Mechanical Engineering experience in the automotive or similar industry with high level of quality and cost requirements.

·       3D Design – 3-5 years experience with SolidWorks or other similar 3D modeling experience (Catia or Siemens NX).

·       2D Drafting – Experience creating 2D drawings including dimensions and tolerances.

·       Experience with sheet metal design, design for injection molding is required.

·       Experience with design for manufacture and design for assembly is required.

·       Ability and willingness to seek stakeholder input to resolve concerns in a timely manner critical.

·       Structured and solution oriented with good communication skills.

·       Strong English skills, written and spoken.
