Our Mechanisms Division  is looking for a Mechatroncis Integration Engineer for its Mechatronics Department of its Technical Center at Caligny - 61.

 

Reason to be:

The Mechatronics integration Engineer is responsible for technical product definition, and process feasibility, especially in electronics integration into actuators or mechanisms, in line with program planning, quality and costs targets. He / She supports program teams to ensure Program Management System deliverables are in line with planning, process, quality and cost targets.

 

Main missions :

  • Manage technical aspects, supporting the programs: prepare and update related technical documentation in Product Data Management (PDM) (including roles & rights), maintaining appropriate product and process definitions. Responsible for drawings, BOMs, Tolerance Chain Management for his/her dedicated parts from the first draft to the final version.

  • Develop feasible designs, considering available technologies and manufacturing processes. Bring recommendations to program teams for decision.

  • Ensure that the technical convergence plan meets product quality and costs targets; Ensure that the PMS technical milestone deadlines are met; Manage Specific Bought Out Parts (BOP) definition and ensure technical integration of suppliers, coordinate technical management of suppliers, relying on ASQ, process engineers and experts.

  • Interface with the customer's engineering team (when needed).

  • Respect Faurecia design, industrial policies and guidelines (FES).

  • Interact with industrial engineers and plants to ensure that “Design for Assembly”, test ability, product and process characteristics are under control when production is launched.

  • Follow up and support regarding drawings, FEA calculations, prototypes and validation to the related work-packages 

  • Ensure that customer specification, legal requirements, are taken into consideration during the development phases

  • Participate actively to Design & Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) studies.

  • Participate actively in product design reviews when required

 

Specific missions:

 

  • Manage electronics integration support in programs, including ISO26262 requirements

  • Manage technological survey in electronics, electronics integration and electrical domains.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

 

 

- Initial training :

Engineering school or Master in Mechatronics / electronics / electrical systems

- Experience : 

Minimum 3-5 years in Mechatronics field, ideally in automotive industry

- Skills :

o    Fluent English mandatory

o    Technical Skills :

·         Knowledge in design, manufacturing and integration of electronics ( ESD…)

·         Knowledge in engineering domains of electronics hardware and software (low power, PWM speed control…), communication protocols (CAN, LIN…), sensors, mechanics, electrical motors (DC 12V/48V, brushless…)

·         Knowledge of Faurecia Program Management System and Faurecia Excellence System

·         Use of MS office (word, excel, powerpoint…)

·         Use of CATIA V5 CAD tool for draft and design in 2D and 3D 

·         Use of tolerance chain management tools (1D, 2D such as Enventive)

·         Use of PDM tool, such as Magellan

·         Autonomy

 

-Travel: Yes, about 3 days per month
