Our Mechanisms Division  is looking for a Mechatronic System Engineer for its Mechatronics Department of its Technical Center at Caligny - 61.

The Mechatronics system Engineer is responsible for the architecture development of motion organs involving actuators, position sensors, and intelligence including electronics hardware, software, communication… He / She supports program teams to ensure PMS deliverables are in line with planning, process, quality and cost targets.


Main missions :

o    Generate architecture concepts and produce conforming designs, parameters and engineering calculations for system performance. Develop feasible designs, considering available technologies and manufacturing processes. Bring recommendations to program teams for decision.

o    Interface with the customer's engineering team and act on ASIL level setting. Analyse customer requirements and break it down to each domain. Ensure that systems comply with government, customer specifications and regulations.

o    Interface with all internal teams involved in system integration. Coordinate technically the system components.

o    Lead all ISO 26262 functional safety complete process (from HARA to component requirement) and traceability of complete chain.

o    Participate to design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) studies.

o    Lead system design reviews and participate actively in product and design reviews, to ensure that “Design for Assembly”, test ability, product and process characteristics are under control when production is launched.

o    Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documents.

o    Manage an architecture file in Product Data Management (PDM) (including roles & rights), maintaining appropriate product and process definitions. Insure the accuracy of Designers' work by giving them clear, complete technical direction and by verifying the output.

Manage technological survey in actuators, position sensors, and intelligence including electronics hardware, software, communication… domains.


The ideal candidate will have/be:


- Initial training : <?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Engineering school or Master in Mechatronics / electrical systems

- Experience : 

Minimum 5 years in Mechatronics system management, ideally in automotive industry

- Skills :

·         Fluent English mandatory

·         Technical Skills :

o    Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety

o    Knowledge or system Engineering (V cycle, model based engineering…)

o    Knowledge in manufacturing with electronics integration (ESD…)

o    Knowledge in engineering domains of electronics hardware and software (low power, PWM speed control…), communication protocols (CAN, LIN…), sensors, mechanics, electrical motors (DC 12V/48V, brushless…)

o    Knowledge of Faurecia Program Management System and Faurecia Excellence System

o    Use of Reqtify or other requirement management tool

o    Use of Matlab / Simulink simulation tools

o    Leadership


-Travel: Yes, about 3 days per month
