Our Clean Mobility division is looking for a Metrology Specialist for its Technical Center at Columbus, IN.
 
  • Standardize the process by which test and measurement equipment is calibrated and controlled at a site level.
  • Perform numerous analyses of instrument calibration points over time through control charting to realize the drift across various intervals.   Ultimately determining optimal intervals while maintaining an acceptable degree of accuracy.
  • Initiate and drive Measurement Systems Analysis Gage R&R experiments to identify variations in, but not limited to, Coordinate/Optical Measuring Machines, dimensional gages and flow measurement systems.
  • Support continuous improvement through the application of Statistical Process Control of the aforementioned measurement systems.  Monitoring processes for early detection and prevention.
  • Program, Measure (Product and Tooling) and analyses
  • Create and implement the appropriate measurement procedures and quality documents to support continued maintenance and growth.
  • Communication, Training, Requirements with Plant Quality and Program Quality Leader
  • Develop and improve written processes and procedures.
  • Drive performance objectives through KPI’s. 
  • The ideal candidate will have:
    • SKILLS: Measurement system operations and user experience is desirable.  Ability to apply theoretical as well as practical aspects of measurement, statistics.  Computer skill sets – Minitab 
    • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: AS or BS in Engineering Technical degree or certificate in Metrology or minimum 5 years’ experience in Metrology
    • Experience with Measurement Arms or Coordinate Measurement Machine, in depth knowledge with GD&T standards
    • Preferred but not required knowledge of Metrology Software, Certified in MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
    • Strong analytical and proven team oriented problem solving-skills required. 
    • English required
