Description:
The role of a Sales Engineer is to be the primary interface of the Customer Purchasing Organization and mainly in charge of the prices and of the contractual relationship with a customer.
 
Main Responsibilities:
 
 Prices and contractual relationship
  • Ensure that the commercial file transmitted by the program is complete and coherent and that the history of the commercial items are correctly documented internally with the related cost information and contractually communicated to the customer
  • Monitor the prices and price break-down (bill of material, handling fees, assembly value sold services, piece price amortization, other items sold) with the purchasing department as a consequence of the product definition and yearly negotiations
  • Records all the agreements with the customer and updates the contractual documentation on the complete portfolio
  • Proactive work with serial colleagues to ensure data availability for all programs
Customer relationship
  • Develop the relationship with his direct counterparts at the customer and with the assigned contacts by the sales network
  • Know the customer organization and identify the key deciders or influence people for pricing negotiations
Documentation
  • Ensure distribution within Faurecia organization and serial CBU’s
  • Accurate creation of price updates and single offers
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills and Competencies):
Bachelor or Master’s degree / First sales experience in automotive
 
Languages: 2 required
  • English / French both fluent and third language as Italian/Spanish would be a plus 
 
IT:
  • Good knowhow on MS Office (Excel, Access, Powerpoint)
  • Basics in database structure and management
  • Good knowhow in ERP structure and operation (SAP)
