Our Faurecia Interior Systems Division is looking for a Program Controller for its R&D Center at Yokohama.

 

The role of the program controller is to manage program FP&A & financial accouting for the interior systems BU and the joint venture (Faurecia Howa Interioris) and also to perform costing with teams for the first-time domestic production.

 

The main missions of the role are to:

 

Ensure financial accounting procedures are in compliance (closing)

  • Prepare journal posting files (program accrual, cost of sales, development assets, reclassification, etc.) and review general ledger to ensure accuracy.
  • Create sales orders in SAP
  • Perform SAP processing (WBS/internal order craetion and settlement, sales data transfoer to COPA, etc.)
  • Reconcicle B/S accounts (development assets & program accrual)
  • Upload engineering timesheets in CATS
  • Complete monthly financial reporting in the systems
  • Communicate with APAC finance division to provide financial analysis and answer inquiries
  • Collaborate with Shared Service Accounting to complete closing in timely manner

Ensure program costs are under controll and take ownership of program controlling

  • Provide program financial analysis margin and variance analysis vs. budget/forecast and monitor the status.
  • Proactively communicate with program teams to support them and be aware of program activities.
  • Propose action plans resulting from relevant analysis in order to achieve operational targets. Help identify risks and opportunities
  • Support monthly development cost recharges by program.
  • Validate inter-co purchase invoices against work order and track costs by program.
  • Communicate with inter-co partners and APAC finance division
  • Support launch phase of the first-time domestic production
  • Support to control domestic productin financials with program teams and monitor the Business Plan

Support annual budget & 5 year strategic plan preparation

  • Build development plan & domestic production financials logically by collaborating with his/her and engineering managers. Revise numbers accurately and timely following assumption changes.
  • Build program acquisition radar with sales managers aligning global targets with France HQ and keep it up-to-date
  • Communicate with inter-co partners to align target programs and development costs
  • Communicate with APAC finance division and provide financial analysis.
  • Support to prepare presentation materials
  • Prepare database input files and complete system input accurately.

Perform product costing for domestic production with teams

  • Summarize all costs and standard prices for production, purchasing and logistics and integrate all the production assumptions in order to estimate production costs.
  • Communicate cost estimation results with program teams and ensure integration of the results to the Business Plan

Others

  • Register new cost center & program code and maintaint payment approval flow in SAP
  • Support internal & external audit
  • Manage other ad-hoc tasks

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
  • 5 yeaers of financial accounting and/or FP&A experience
  • Good understanding of debit/credit (general ledger) and balance sheet
  • Business level English & fluency in Japanese (speaking/reading/writing)
  • Experience in manufacturing company prefered
  • Communication skill in international environment
  • Experience in foreign capital company
  • Willingness & ability to manage a wide range of tasks in timely manner
  • Experience in ERP (SAP prefered)
  • Internmediate Excel & Powerpoint skills
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Proactive, sel-starter
