Description:

Faurecia Clean Mobility North America is looking for a candidate who will commit to long term growth and development with Faurecia. This program’s content is built off of the academic knowledge received while completing their Bachelor’s degree as well as the individual needs, capabilities and objectives. The program is a two year program consisting of four 6 month rotations that could be in various locations throughout the United States with opportunities abroad. Upon completion of the program, the Trainee will take on a demanding and challenging role in their core field.

The main objectives of the four rotations for the Program Management Rotational Leadership Development Program are defined below.    

 

Rotation I – Operations

Purpose of this rotation: Learn production, the Faurecia Excellence System, and Program Plant Team Leader

·       Learn the operation (technologies, products, etc.) from the production floor

·       Rotation will include 3 weeks on production line supporting different shifts and different lines

·       Act for 2 months in Production Supervisor role

·       Remainder of rotation as acting PPTL

·       Coordinate new launch trial runs and launch book activity

·       Create standardized work instructions and implement on the floor with GAP leaders and operators

·       Participate in New Launch activities

·       Attend Operations Systems School Training

·       Attend Quick Response Continuous Improvement (QRCI)

·       Lead a QRCI process with the plant team

 

Example Locations: Manufacturing Site in Columbus, IN or Louisville, KY

 

Rotation  II –  Program Manager: Product and Process (PDL/PML)  

Purpose of this rotation: Learn Engineering Product and Process, Customer Interface and Change Management

        Supports for approximately 3 months in performing Program Development Leader (PDL) activities in Design and Development phase of program life cycle

        Conduct product and process risk analysis

        Establish Bill of Materials for the design in alignment with 2D & 3D

        Confirming the design validation testing and coordination

        Supports for approximately 3 months in performing Program Manufacturing Leader (PML) activities in Design and Development phase of program life cycle

        Release process definition for new programs, then establish equipment, tools and gages specifications

        Coordinates, schedules and runs the launch workshop at appropriate sites

        Takes joint responsibilities for program tasks and objectives with existing program team members

        PDL Boot camp Training, KT Problem Solving Training, & Engineering Fundamentals Training Courses

 

Example Location: Columbus Technical Center, Columbus, IN, with travel to respective FCM sites and/or customer

 

Rotation  III – Program Management: Programs In Development

Purpose of this rotation: Experience Program Management activity as part of a global program Team.

        Meets and networks with program core team within first month of rotation

        Prepare Program Dashboard to key stakeholders (customer, CBU, etc)

        Run core team meetings

        Manage Single List of Issues and/or Single List of Changes

        Interface with Faurecia Core System (FCS) (SAP based)

        Drive timeline with core team members

        Helios training, understand related Helios Work-Package 

        Exposure to business plan content 

        Interface with Program Management Systems

        Track and execute on-time passing of next Program milestones

        Work directly with customer as a member of the program team

Example Location: Augsburg, Germany, Bavans France, or Shanghai, China Technical Center with travel to respective customer

 

Rotation IV – Program Manager: Account Management

Purpose:  Gain insight into Program Account Management activity.

        Meets and networks with program core team within first month of rotation

        Coordinate customer changes as it pertains to contracts and OEM systems

        Manage internal Request For Quotation activity and quote on customer changes

        Plan with cross functional team for customer negotiation activity

        External Training in Negotiation

        Participate in customer negotiation

        Participate in customer VAVE (Value Add Value Engineering) activities

        Support acquisition planning

        Achieve the CBU (Customer Business Unit) past-due receivable targets

        Track and execute on-time passing of Program Sales next milestones

        Work directly with customer as a member of the program team

        Track Tooling Recovery Status

        Successful Manager Training

        Achieve Yellow Belt Six Sigma Certification

Qualifications: <?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

        Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA

        Preferred MBA or minor in Business

        Graduated from a University within 12 months of first rotation

        Practical work experience through internships throughout academic career

        Demonstrate experience with business practices through organizations, internships or academia

        Demonstrated interest in automotive industry

        Commitment to relocating every 6 months for a 2 year program

        Bi-lingual preferred in German, Japanese, Mandarian Chinese, Korean, or Spanish
