Our North America Interior Systems Division is looking for a Sr. Sales Manager for its Research & Development Center at Auburn Hills, MI.
 
The role of a Sr. Sales Manager is to be in charge of the coordination of all the sales activities (acquisition, development, serial life) for a specific account or part of the account and has also the financial responsibility of internal and external budget tracking. Job scope centers on strong OEM interaction in identifying and acquiring carry over / new programs in line with the groups strategy.
 
The main missions of the role are to:

  • Directs team toward effective OEM targets.
  • Maintains active update to global organization in coordination of commercial targets.
  • Maintains responsibility for account cost effective.
  • Supports OEM activities with qualified Account Managers.
  • Updates OEM management on overall Faurecia performance, R&D and correlates future program targets with customer wants.
  • Supports Program Team in areas where program manager requires assistance.
  • Manages internal Faurecia account overview meeting to all effected staff.
  • Upon selection of effective business target, account manager must communicate customer wants to Faurecia or related partner staff.
  • Tracks budget – develops business plan / 5 years plan.
  • Manages quotation process in line with procedure.
  • Responsible for pre-development programs until program is launched officially.
  • The supervisory responsibilities, if applicable, include interviewing and hiring new employees, conducting performance reviews, planning and directing work, disciplining employees, motivating and educating subordinates, guiding and supporting employees in their professional development and other leadership responsibilities.
  • The employee is responsible for conducting his/her job within the ISO 9001 standards.
  • All program-related duties need to be accomplished within the requirements of the Faurecia Program Management System.
  • Manage direct reports, conduct performance reviews and establish FVC objectives where applicable.
  • Provide leadership to direct reports, ensure they are properly trained and motivated to complete job requirements.
  • Participate in interview process to evaluate potential new employees for sales team.
  • Provide APDR feedback to Sales Director for sales team.
  • Mentor overall sales team for acquisition and commercial issues.
  • Work closely with Sales Director to ensure all objectives for CBU are achieved.
  • Act as proxy for Sales Director, supporting meetings and open deliverables when Director is not available.
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.

    The ideal candidate will have/be:
    • Extensive Knowledge of OEM and competition is required.
    • Excellent organizational skills are required.
    • Excellent communication skills are required.
    • Basic computer skills are required, emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
    • The ability to direct and manage people and processes is required.
    • The performance needs to be in accordance with the Faurecia core and manager competencies.
    • Strong ability to communicate efficiently with all levels of management, co-workers and subordinates and the ability to resolve conflicts and build effective teams is required.
    • BA or BS in Business or related field.  Masters degree preferred. 
    • 5-10 years automotive tier 1 or OEM Experience or equivalent. 
    • Product engineering / development, program management, customer interface, and manufacturing experience is recommended.
