Our Interiors Business Group is looking for a Supply Chain & Packaging Engineer (M/F) for its R&D Center in Méru (60), France.

The role of the Supply Chain & Packaging Engineer is to define and validate packaging and logistic cost for inbound & outbound flows for new projects coming to Faurecia plants, mainly for the European scope.

The main missions of the role are to:
  • Support the Acquisition Team, Program Purchasing and Program Manufacturing with the logistics inputs needed to take Make or Buy decisions and give packaging investment figures.
  • In Acquisition phase, define Packaging concepts in line with Faurecia & Customer expectations/standards (based on information with low level of details), quote Supply Chain (transport, delivery method, packaging loop size, IT...) and build Preliminary Material & Information Flow Diagram (MIFD) accordingly.
  • From Development phase, generate detailed Prototype and Serial Packaging Specifications based on concepts agreed by relevant people (Tiers2 supplier, Faurecia and Customer) and follow-up packaging development (prototype, static and dynamic validation) until set-up all serial packaging according to ramp-up.
  • Build and track Supply Chain & Packaging Retro-planning in close cooperation with the Program Purchasing and Program Manufacturing to comply with Faurecia and Customer milestones.
  • Update MIFD (considering one for the Start of Production and a second integrating further targeted optimizations) and finalise full Supply Chain validations and related costs, aligning request with real needs and finding most cost efficient solutions for Suppliers, Faurecia and Customer flows.

The ideal candidate will have/be:
  • Engineering degree in or related to Supply Chain Management or Packaging.

  • Minimum 2-year-packaging experience in an industrial sector.

  • Successfull experience in project management.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

  • Team Player within a cross-functional and international context.

  • English fluent required.
