Our Clean Mobility is looking for a SW Modeling and Prototying Engineer for its R&D center at Bavans.
 
 
Responsible for the modeling of control laws and their rapid-prototyping within the development of Exhaust Dynamic Noise Cancellation system, which intends to cancel and/or enhance the exhaust noise thanks to the control of a loudspeaker integrated in the pipe.
 
Responsabilities:
 
Understand existing specifications/control algorithms through technical exchanges w/ acoustic experts and/or suppliers
Develop and/or enhance Matlab / Simulink models of the control laws and validate them (both offline and online)
Implement models of control laws on selected rapid-prototyping tool for demonstration and/or validation purpose
Set-up procedures of model validation and calibration
Contribute to definition of associated test benches
Validate defined models in collaboration w/ project team, and specify their limits of use
 
- Support development teams regarding specifications of application operation, especially for SW towards suppliers
 
- Reports to hierarchy
- Contributes to CAPEX and training plan definition in his/her domain
- Is the reference specialist for modeling of control laws and trains colleagues when needed
- Manage the upgrade/maintenance of Matlab tools and of rapid-prototyping development tools
- Technology survey in his/her domain

- International project (travels in Europe mainly)
 
Technical Competencies
Mandadory :
- Skilled in digital signal processing
- Autonomous in the use of Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow
- Able to model control laws according to automotive best practises
- Autonomous in the use of rapid prototyping tools (Dspace MABX, Mototron, NSI Muxlab, …)
- Knowledge in multiplexed network bus (LIN/CAN)
 
Nice to have:
- Knowledge in sensor signal acquisition
- Knowledge in acoustics/audio

Profile :
- PhD in digital signal processing, in closed-loop control
- Engineering degree in electronics – Bac +5
- English (TOEIC 770 minimum)
- 5-7 years of experience in electronic R&D environment, possibly more at innovation level for development of smart mechatronics systems
