Our Tooling Costing Europe Team is looking for a Tool Cost Estimation Engineer for its [R&D Center] at [Méru].

 

Within the support program team, the Tool Cost Estimation Engineer is responsible for the technical and economical evaluation of concepts tools, fixtures and gauges of automotive interior, as well as customer's modifications.

The main missions of the role are to:

  • Analysing of RFQ documents
  • Crosscheck of technical and economical feasibility
  • Evaluation of the technical composition (Tooling concept, number of cavities, material injection, heating and cooling, inserts, ejectors, etc.)
  • Proposing ideas of improvment
  • Creating a tooling costing file
  • Evaluation of target purchase prices for toolings according Faurecia Interior principles
  • Technical-economical exchange with Sales team of the related CBUs as well as with the customer
  • During development phase, evaluating cost changes of customer modifications and technical-economical argumentation with the customer
  • Communicate cost estimation results to the Program Controller to assure integration of the results into the Business Plan.
  • Present and explain cost estimations to the Program and Sales Managers.

 

 

 

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:
  • Master II Engineering school
  • Minimum 5 year experience as tooling engineer or process engineer or in equivalent environment.
  • Standard estimation methodology knowledge required.
  • Oriented results and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Team Spirit
  • Fluent English, German is appreciated
