With an engineering degree from Centrale Paris, Florent joined Faurecia in November 2014 as production supervisor at an injection workshop. After a little more than a year, Florent was able to evolve into a position of specialist of the Faurecia Excellence System for the Meru, France plant.
“The Faurecia Excellence System is a set of best practices and standards to optimize plant performance. I am responsible for ensuring its deployment in the plant and ensuring that field teams fully understand and have the means to implement it. Each day, I help plant teams to change their ways of working to do it more efficiently and easily.
Faurecia is a company with strong skills in the field of continuous improvement and e-manufacturing, which has given me a lot of opportunity to learn and grow in my job. I like that the work is challenging and fellow team members are there to help me and work with me on a daily basis.
This type of work can’t be done alone in an office. To design effective solutions for deployment in the plant, you need to spend time with the people who will be using them.
The constant change in the automotive sector means that everyone must be constantly in motion, constantly improving and constantly innovating. Faurecia is well-advanced in these areas.
What I like most about my job is working with a multitude of different people, people with different jobs, hierarchical responsibilities and personalities who are confronted every day with very different problems.
One of the things that surprised me when I arrived at Faurecia was the autonomy given to young people. If an employee decides they want to take on a challenge and is committed to the results, they are free to move forward. From my first days with Faurecia, I’ve been given a lot of responsibility."
