Rafael Silva

As Management Development Manager based in Paris, Rafael Silva supports Faurecia Interiors on all talent development and career management processes for the Operations population. His activities include internal mobility management, preparation of people review process and coordination of succession planning. He serves as the business group’s liaison between all divisions and countries worldwide for his scope.

“I really like the global nature of my job. I work with many different people throughout the Faurecia Interiors global network in HR and Operations who are in very different environments. It gives me a very broad view of Faurecia business and how we can develop our people. So, it’s interesting and challenging at the same time.

Prior to coming to Paris, I worked four years for Faurecia in my home country, Brazil, where I was responsible for HR in the headquarters and R&D Center. On top of that, I was also responsible for compensation and benefits, international mobility, reporting and HR information systems that helped me to develop qualities useful in my current job.

To be successful in HR, you need to act as a real partner with the business, to know the business well and to go to the sites to make sure you understand the needs of your internal customer. Creativity and agility are also important as you need to be able to propose solutions that bring the right people with the right skills at the right place and time. We operate in a very high-speed environment that requires quick decision-making and openness to trying new things. It’s a place where you learn something new every day!”
