The Acoustics & Soft Trim division is delivering all the acoustics packages for interiors, from engine compartment to trunk insulators, through dash inners and carpets. Our Acoustics & Soft Trim division is looking for a Commodity Buyer for its R&D Center at Mouzon, France (08).
The role of a Commodity Buyer is to structure the building of a supplier panel for one or more commodities and ensure the overall productivity of the panel.
The main missions of the role are to:
  • Structure the building of the panel: participate in the definition and the implementation of the purchasing panel policy for assigned commodities; manage supplier selection according to Group criteria
  • Panel management: ensure a regular follow-up of the supplier performance in relation with the Supplier Quality Assurance Manager and implement a supplier's reduction plan consistent with Divisions and in coordination with the Business Groups
  • Manage the global supplier’s productivity in relation with plant buyers
  • Develop and implement tools to improve global productivity
  • Negotiate and implement general agreements with the main suppliers
  • Ensure the utilization of the panel by program and plant buyers
  • Ensure the reporting of his or her activities following defined policies
Qualifications needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a specialization in the field of international purchasing
  • 5 to 10 years of experience on the Technology domain
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization
  • Results orientation with strong written and oral communications skills
  • Intercultural and open mindset, overseas experiences a plus.
  • Flexibility for frequent business travel.
