Our Acoustics & Soft Trim division develops and produces acoustics solutions for the main Automotive companies across the world and equips 30% of the vehicles produced in Europe.
 
To contribute to the excellence of our products development, our Faurecia Innenraum Systeme GmbH - Acoustics & Soft Trim Division is looking for a Customer Technical Leader to be based in Peine (Germany).
 
For key customer accounts, the Customer Technical Leader is responsible for the customer satisfaction and for all the design & engineering aspects of the programs.
 
He/she leads
 
- Product definition and process feasibility for programs in acquisition, development and serial stages:
o   in line with the program objectives (Quality, Cost, Timing), he/she applies the Group standards following the Faurecia Excellence System (FES), deploying the Faurecia's Program Management System (PMS) to:
> lead and secure the Product Development Process (study, specify, develop in detail, verify, release, validate), taking care of the:
§  Customer & Faurecia specifications
§  Legal requirements
§  Faurecia standards & best practices in accordance with the Group standards
Ø  coordinate the Program Design & Engineering activities, he/she may have to manage a cross functional team:
§  Product Design, CAE & CAD engineers
§  Manufacturing & Tooling engineers
§  Including support functions : GTS (Experts), Prototyping, Testing, etc…
Ø  manage the Design Reviews & the DFMEA processes
o   have a permanent “Design to Cost” mindset: identify, highlight & track all the potential cost impacts
o   Have an Engineering Change Management (ECM) attitude
o   ensure that the PMS Key Deliverables are passed successfully & in time
o   fulfill the Product Engineering requirements (Product & Design definition, release & validation, Key Characteristics, etc…)
o   manage a Program File in Product Data Management (PDM), including roles & rights, maintaining appropriate product and process definition
o   manage Bought Out Parts (BOP) definition & ensure the technical integration of the suppliers
o   Apply Faurecia industrial policies and guidelines (Production System Efficiency, Supply chain, Ergonomy,…).
o   Liaise with industrial engineer so that product and process characteristics are under control when production is launched.
 
- Technical intimacy with customer:
o   Build a network at the customer
o   Facilitate customer understanding by engineering & manufacturing teams
o   Animate internal network dedicated to his/her key customers in order to analyze customer needs and lead reconciliation between customer need and Faurecia offer,
 
-       May have to manage functionally the technical contributors: product design engineer(s)
Regarding the complexity of the programs, the ideal candidate must already had strong past experience in development and  will have/be, in addition to strong ability & interest for international scope:
  • Good customer relationship experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Experience in Design & Development with industrial environment, manufacturing experience appreciated
  • Knowledge and experience in Project Management process
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • International mind set
  • Minimum bi-lingual: fluent in German and in English
