The Acoustics & Soft Trim division is delivering all the acoustics packages for interiors, from engine compartment to trunk insulators, through dash inners and carpets.

 

Our Acoustics & Soft Trim division is looking for a Development Engineer for its R&D platform at Olmedo, Spain. The Program Development Engineer is responsible for all Design and Engineering aspects to build the technical product definition, including process feasibility. He/She has to manage the technical convergence plan in order to achieve program objectives (Quality, Cost, Schedule, Product performance), in any phase from Acquisition to Serial life.

 
The main missions of the role are to:
  • be the interface of the customer's Engineering team;
  • manage internal cross functional team for all Design and Engineering aspects (Product Design Engineer, Tool Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, GTS, etc);
  • contribute with the Program Manager to the Program master schedule definition and tracking, by managing the critical path’s second level, i.e. part by part datas with all departments interactions;
  • lead the Product Development Process (study, verify, specify, validate, release) by using adequate Quality Development tools as Risk Analysis, Design-FMEA, Design Validation Plan and Problem solving methods, and by ensuring the respect of Legal requirements as well as customer and internal specifications;
  • manage Bought Out Parts (BOP) definition and ensure technical integration of suppliers;
  • coordinate the Engineering Change Management and follow-up the implementation of each change in all Engineering areas;
  • applies Group and Product Line standards following the Faurecia Excellence System (FES) and ensure that the PMS Engineering Key Deliverables deadlines are met;
  • monitor the Development progress through KPIs regular reports, including analyse, appropriate action plans and future risks and opportunities list;
  • manages a Program File in Product Data Management during all the Development phase, which will be used for transfer to the plant and Program closing;
  • liaise with industrial engineer so that product and process characteristics are under control when production is launched;
  • build capitalization and transversalization during all the Program life and records it in AST Knowledge tool;
  • Contribute to Department Progress Plan.

Qualifications needed.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
  • Master's degree in engineering
  • Experience in Design and Development within an industrial environment, ideally in the automotive industry; Manufacturing experience would be appreciated;
  • Knowledge and experience in Project Management process and Quality Development tools;
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • OEM relationship experience
  • International mind set
  • Fluent in 2 languages including English
