Our Europe Division is looking for a Launch Manager Cluster Iberia for its Cluster Iberia in Portugal.

Overall responsibilities and duties:
  • Ensure successful launches with strong leadership to involve all plant departments and program teams in a close partnership.
  • Representative of Operations he is involved from the acquisition phase until SOP+6 months and identify all opportunities for the cluster (i.e Make or Buy)
  • Animate cluster launch network (IPM or plant ME Mgr) and manage links with other Clusters, Division and BG. Is connected with cluster ME manager.
  • Ensure supplier management in regards of capacity (ASQ) and PPAP.
  • Ensure ME & MNT knowledge acquisition vs new equipment and technologies.
  • Manage Cluster KPI, related to launches and production transfers.

The main missions of the role are:

  • Successful Launches
    • Process selection in RFQ phase (ensure standardization) and PMF approval (Priliminary Manufacturing Footprint)
    • Review and take part in the BP development process.
    • Layout optimization and transformation for new launches to prepare plants in advance.
    • Support by proactive coaching the plant launch teams versus PMS operational milestones & workpackages as well as PLR follow-up.
    • Develop FES chapter 15 within his cluster.

    • Be part of regulary meetings : LRR, PSCR, PRC and cluster meetings.
    • Pay attention to ECR/ECO control process
    • Ensure plant launch room activities (visual management)
    • Identify major roadblock, set risk analysis and AMS alert when needed.
    • Standardize and animate launch reviews within the cluster with forecast.

    • Routines achievement within the Cluster in terms of
      • T&E readiness
      • PC&L readiness
      • Shopflor readiness (PT/MPT/EMPT) including staffing & training
      • Launch book tracking
  • Pilot and roll out new tools within launch network (i.e Tiger, Green Stream, …)

  • Ensure transversalization by sharing best practices between plants and with program Directors and Process/Product development Mgr.

  • Continuously connected with Process Industrialization Center (PIC) to review current set up support and forecast for the future.

     

  • Transfers and After Market strategy deployment
    • Production transfer of serial and after market due to best location driven by financial and customer aspects.
    • Transformation strategy deployment.
  • Others:
    • Perform the tasks in a disciplined manner and accept the responsibilities associated with it, according the quality, environment, health and safety policies and the company’s strategic objectives in these areas.
    • Respect and ensure in his/her daily approach the correct and fully implementation of the Faurecia code of ethics (Respect for fundamental Human Rights, Development of economic and social dialogue,  Development of skills, Ethics and rules of business conduct,  if necessary reporting infringements to the Code of Ethics ).

 The ideal candidate will have/be:

 

Experience:

At least 5 years of experience, including one position in Manufacturing Engineering and/or Program Management.

 

Skills and competencies

-Basic financial skills (costing, budget, investment) and understand plant P&L.

-Knowledge in core processes (bending, muffler, welding, assembly, geometry)

-PMS program milestones and deliverables

-FES knowledge and lean manufacturing (pull system, MIFD, one piece flow, smed …)

-APQP principles with R&R and PPAP requirement

-Leadership

-Ability to interface with other functions at all level of organization including customers and suppliers - Networking capabilities.

-Priority setting and timely decision making

-Results oriented

-Risk management and problem solving (QRCI)

-Conflict management and negociation skills

-International mindset

-English
