Our Division North America is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor for its plant at Columbus, Indiana.

The main missions of the role are to:
  • Coordinate the procurement of new equipment to assure manufacturing, maintainability, and Health, Safety & Environmental requirements are met
  • Contribute, in liaison with other Department, to define technical specifications for alterations on existing equipment and facilities
  • Participate in Production System Efficiency and Quality System Efficiency workshops to support continuous improvement: propose and implement continuous productivity, efficiency and quality improvement actions for all facilities
  • Monitor the purchase and inventory of spare parts and consumables to eliminate downtime
  • Able to perform workshops and understand where the areas are of improvements are needed
  • Recommend safety policies and assure safety controls are tested and reliable
  • Manage a team of ME technicians
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day performance of a Team, share new objectives as needed with the Team
  • Manage the Overtime, Vacations, Scheduling the work Hours an Shifts
  • Coordinate Cross training and rotation of there department
  • Provide feedback to the Employee along with completing reviews on time
  • Must be able to complete Activity’s on time and manage the Training needs of the Dept.
  • Must be able to support the hiring and firing of current and new employee’s
The ideal candidate will have/be:
  • A degree in engineering is an asset
  • Minimum 5 years experience in management or supervision
  • Be able to adapt to a fast pace environment
  • Working knowledge of Quality system and Health, Safety & Environment skills
  • Advanced computer knowledge and skills (MS Office, Excel, Word, SAP, CAD, Solid works)
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong people management skills, leadership skills, communication skills
  • English required
