The VIE Program of Faurecia is an international young graduate program, which enables young graduates native from the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28 to work for one of our subsidiary around the world!

Your position and environment?

Our Faurecia Clean Mobility Business Group – Europe Division is looking for you as a VIE Plant Program Team Leader m/f for our plant in Braganca, Portugal.

Your role and responsibilities?


Your main missions will be to

Overall responsibilities and duties:


  • He/she is responsible for all the manufacturing aspects of the Program in his/her plant. His/her mission last from the program award (end of phase 1) till Start Of Production + 6 months.



The main missions of the role are:


  • Team Management

  • Coordinate work package tasks and ensure their accomplishment;

  • In agreement with the program manager, support technical interface with the customer and the suppliers;

  • According to the Project Management System, define and transfer the program information to the required plant launch team (workload, competencies and profiles) and coordinate its activities, Act as the interface between the Program Manufacturing Leader and the plant;




Product interface (manufacturability)


  • Prototype:

  • Check know-how availability in plant according to requirements;

  • Analyse industrial and technical tasks during prototype build (involving operators from production plant);

  • Implement all changes related to production system and/or related to the product (as of Engineering Change Management);




Production System Development


  • Study, develop in detail, validate, release and set-up the complete Production System of the program in the plant: equipment and tool interfaces, layout, process flow charts, material and information flow diagram in accordance with the Group standards and program objectives;

  • Prepare the "make" input of the matrix  for all remaining components (including subcontracting);

  • Evaluate at plant locations subcontracting possibilities;

  • Ensure the achievement of Process, Equipment and Facility FMEA.

  • Coordinate installation and launch of all production equipment and tooling, assuring the HSE standards compliance;




Production launch


  • Manage the Production Part Approval Process in the plant (including Mass Production Trial and Extended Mass Production Trial);

  • Manage the production launch in the plant;

  • Support the Production Ramp-up;



Targets and reporting


  • Achieve all manufacturing program objectives in the plant (Quality ,Costs, Delivery, Performance) such as Process and Machine Capabilities, Scrap rate, CAPEX, Amortized costs, Added value, Logistics costs, Gross Margin;

  • Apply program Management System and Engineering Change Management and Faurecia tools and standards;

  • Ensure that manufacturing milestones are passed successfully and on time;

  • Report on a monthly base the progress of his activity

  • Report all manufacturing risks analysis and their associated action plans and opportunities;



The mission will last 12 months (renewable once up to 24 months).


Who are you?


  • Master’s Degree in engineering, preferably
  • First experience in production area in industrialization
  • Project Management
  • Trained Program Management System
  • Proven technical skills on product and process
  • Ability to manage functional plant program team
  • Knowledge in program finance (costing, P&L, investments)
  • Fluent in English
  • Excel, CAD, SAP
