Your position and environment?


Our Faurecia Automotive Seating Business Group – R&D Division is looking for you as a VIE Product Engineer m/f for our R&D Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan, United States.

Your role and responsibilities?


The product engineer plans and executes complete engineering design products or specific projects, from initial design concept through to production release and post-production support, for source automotive seat products.

Your main missions will be to

  • Formulates, recommends, and implements all phases of a seat design project to complete within budget and to meet customer-determined project milestones and completion dates.
  • Lead the execution of other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Produces designs that are feasible and economical to produce in the manufacturing facilities and processes available
  • Ensures that all appropriate tests are performed
  • Assists in the achievement of program targets through direct participation in customer presentations

The mission will last 12 months.

Who are you?

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Fluent in English
  • Good communication and problem solving skills
  • Understanding of print reading and tolerances

  • Knowledge/experience working with mechanical devices

  • Knowledge of automotive seating applications and requirements preferred

  • Ability to visualize 3D using a CAD viewer.

  • Knowledge of testing methods and standards

  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
