Faurecia Clean Mobility develops and produces solutions to drive Mobility and Industry towards zero emission. Our solutions for air quality, energy efficiency, acoustic performance and powertrain electrification address the needs of passenger cars and commercial vehicles manufacturers, industrial and high horsepower applications.

 

We need strong expertise and key competencies also displaying high energy and agility, so we are looking for a Safety manager/director (M/W) in our R&D center based in Bavans, France.

 

Main responsibilities:

Guarantee the application of Process and Product Quality Assurance (PPQA) on “safety & regulated” S/R program development (with a strong focus on “hydrogen storage system activity development”). Ensure continuous improvement based on Lessons Learned.

Implement and maintain system to manage safety requirements

  • Define system to manage Product Safety requirements in development and prototype build.

  • Define and follow the safety life cycle

  • Define audit system and perform regular audits in development, prototyping, drive correction/improvement, create reporting.

  • Train team members about safety requirements and safety management.

Failure prevention during product and process development

  • Perform gap analysis on project level and define actions to achieve compliance.

  • Contribute to and verify Risk Analysis and Risk mitigation using methods like FMEA and FTA regarding safety relevant aspects.

  • Contribute to solving and avoidance of safety relevant issue during development and to setting of priorities in the project.

  • Ensure lessons learned in development and prototyping, including manufacturing, assembly, inspection and testing of product safety relevant aspects.

  • Ensure that safety requirements are communicated to suppliers (e.g. through KPC designation and contract) and adherence monitored.

Problem solving

Drive risk analysis and problem solving in case of safety issues, verify effectiveness of corrective actions and lessons learned.  

 

 

 

Qualifications:

The ideal applicant would have:

  • Minimum Master degree in engineering

  • Experience in management of safety critical products, knowledge in product safety and liability regulations

  • In depth knowledge of FMEA methodology, ideally as FMEA facilitator

  • Good skills in problem solving methodology (e.g. 8D, Six Sigma, fault tree event…)

  • Global knowledge in functional safety standards such as ISO26262 or IEC61508 would be appreciated,

  • Knowledge in quality management standards such as IATF 16949 and/or VDA would be appreciated

  • Above average communication skills, leadership skills and interpersonal skills

  • International mindset and experience

  • English language skills required, ideally French skills in addition
