Our Faurecia Clean Mobility team is looking for an Sales Engineer for its Light Vehicle Regional Business Unit in Southfield, Michigan location.

 

Integrated within the Customer Business Unit, the Sales Engineer is responsible for maintaining customer systems and supporting the back office operations of the sales organization.


Responsibilities:

 

  • In association with the Development Team, Plant Team, Costing, Productivity Expert, etc..., apply the Group standards (Faurecia Excellence System and Program Management System) in order to monitor and maintain customer system requirements in relation to sales

  • Ensure permanent contact with various customer departments, including involving Faurecia teams when necessary

  • Coordinate the implementation of technical and commercial offers

  • Negotiate parts and tooling costs in consultation with the Account Manager and the customer

  • Ensure that the evolution of permanent parts pricing in line with the Divisions budget

  • Responsible for the management of customer owned tooling.  This includes maintaining tool lists through development, series, and service until the tools are dispositioned by the customer.  Coordinating tooling invoices including gathering and submitting customer documentation. 

  • Track RFQ logs including closure of open RFQ’s and developing a historical pricing database.

  • Complete other tasks and projects as required

Knowledge / Skills:


  • Results orientated with strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Ability to work in a matrix organization

  • International mindset, strong analytical skills


    Education / Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business / Finance with a specialization in Sales

  • Minimum 2 years sales experience in the automotive industry
