Our Faurecia Clean Mobility is looking for a Series Buyer for its Bragança plant.
 
Essential responsibilities and duties

The role of a Series Buyer is to manage and monitor all plant supplier issues in line with Group Purchasing policy, to improve Quality Cost and Delivery (QCD) performance.

 

The main missions of the role are:

  • Build (with Commodity inputs) the purchasing budget per plant and share it with plants.
  • Propose and Validate with Commodity leaders the Cost Productivity actions, for the plants under his responsibility. Screen parts from the plant and assess BLC, cost model, VAVE with the commodity leader.
  • Responsible for the execution of the Cost Productivity actions. Lead the implementation team.
  • Monitoring of the Cost reduction actions for his plants, and validates they are in line with the budget (PAP).
  • Present every month to the plant COMEX the PAP update and the purchasing results.
  • Lead the implementation team for all transfers (make to buy, footprint change, supplier bankrupcy…)
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain team to continuously improve the suppliers Misdeliveries Per Million (MPM).
  • Support the Material Planner in Supply Crisis Management. And makes sure the proper escalation is made. Priorises local resolution of issues and escalates to Division Commodity Leaders team when needed.
  • Be involved in the Sourcing Committees and Steering Committees in program phase to prepare the start of Production. Lead the Transfer between Program buyer and Series buyer at the SOP and validate the Hand over.
  • Make sure that all relevant suppliers and parts information is available and ensure proper ordering, invoicing & cost control .
  • Inform Commodity leader in case of major volumes changes and monitor the End of Life.
  • Ensure high level of supplier quality performance, and supports appropriate action plans for corrections with Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer in order to reach the Parts Per Million (PPM) and SQI index targets. Recharge justified non quality cost due to suppliers. Reporting of PPM and metrics
  • Respect the Group / Plant Health, Safety & Environment policies

  • Perform the tasks in a disciplined manner and accept the responsibilities associated with it, according the quality, environment, health and safety policies and the company’s strategic objectives in these areas.
  • Respect and ensure in his/her daily approach the correct and fully implementation of the Faurecia code of ethics (Respect for fundamental Human Rights, Development of economic and social dialogue,  Development of skills, Ethics and rules of business conduct,  if necessary reporting infringements to the Code of Ethics ).

  • Perform other tasks not specified ago, and necessary to further the objectives of the company and the team.

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Minimum education level: Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering or Business

Nice to have: Specialization in international purchasing or supply chain

 

Experience :

  • First experience or significant apprenticeship experience in purchasing preferably in an industrial environment

 

Skills and competencies

  • Awareness of productivity / lean management methodology
  • Understanding of Production, quality and logistics
  • Fluent English
  • Ability to work in matrix organization
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
