Our Interior Systems Division is looking for an Advanced Program Manager for its Auburn Hills, MI location.
 
The Advanced Program Manager is responsible to achieve the Program objectives (Time, cost, quality, performance) in conjunction with Customer satisfaction. The person leads all aspects of the program, from award until 4-6 months post Start of Production.
The Advanced Program Manager should act as a role model in the organization by demonstrating Entrepreneurship, Autonomy and Accountability.
 
The main missions of the role are to: 

  • Develop strong relationships with the customer and manage the ongoing negotiations as the official Faurecia representative.
  • In Acquisition phase, prepare the Program Business Plan with Controlling, and submit to management for approval.
  • Identify staffing needs and functionally manage program team
  • Cascade program objectives to team members' individual objectives and assignments.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining program planning.
  • Ensure timeliness of task & deliverables completion.
  • Respect program budget & meet or exceed profitability targets.
  • Establish proper team work coordination (Program, plant, suppliers and customer).
  • Control program scope change (Time, cost, quality, performance).
  • Organize regular program meetings throughout visual charts, facts and data.
  • Conduct Risk/Opportunity analysis, mitigation and alert process.
  • Arbitrate any issues internally or externally within the program scope.
  • Set-up Production in accordance with Faurecia & customer requirements to prepare for a non-event Start of Production in the plant.
  • Apply the Faurecia Program Management System standards, tools and guidelines in a rigorous manner.
  • Report regularly on program progress status to the stakeholders.
  • Capture & share lessons learned.

The candidate will have/be:

 

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, required
  • 5+ years of job experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, required
  • 5+ years of project experience, required
  • Interior product experience is a plus
 
 

Knowledge / Skills:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Program standards, tools and methods.
  • Strong financial knowledge (P&L, Cash flow)
