Our Emissions Control Technologies division is looking for a Stamping Specialist for its Technical Center at Columbus, IN.
   
The Division Stamping Specialist is responsible for defining/development/documenting/deploying stamping standards and processes for NAO Division.

The main missions of the role are:
  • Experience in the Project Management field.
  • Proficient knowledge of stamping parts development and production line capacity knowledge.
  • Familiar with material characters (especially, stainless steel and low carbon steel).
  • Command and knowledge of quality system and HSE.
  • Previous stamping parts design experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with the stamping and press equipment.
  • Preferred knowledge of Software Danyform or Autoform, CAE analysis.

 

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Minimum education level: Master's Degree preferred; Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Design and Process, Press Forming
  • Toolmaker background with more than 5 years of experience in the Automotive industry
  • Minimum 10 years automotive components manufacturing experience
  • Minimum 10 years Progressive and Transfer stamping experience
Skills and competencies:
  • Strong Analytical, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Computer, and Interpersonal Skills
  • Fluent in English; oral and written communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering techniques and specifications associated with metal forming
  • Solid core understanding of GD&T and forming analysis  
  • Practical knowledge of APQP functions, continuous improvement, and analytical and action planning tools
  • Must be able to work effectively at various levels of the organization and with outside partners
  • Results Oriented
