Our Business Group Faurecia Interiors, which develops and produces dashboards, center consoles, cockpit and door panels, is looking for a Thermal Comfort Simulation Engineer (f/m) for its Cockpit Technologies Division, to be based in its R&D Center in Méru (60-parisian area).
 
Job Description:
Essential responsibilities and duties
The thermal comfort simulation engineer (f/m) will perform fluid, thermal and system simulations as part of the Faurecia Interiors Thermal Comfort Activity. He/she will be in charge to develop the numerical platform and validate different thermal solutions developed by Faurecia Interiors.
 
The main missions of the role are:
  • Develop numerical simulation methods (3D CFD / heat transfer / system simulation):
    • Software / Hardware sizing / Method guidelines
  • Validate new solutions favorable to cockpit thermal comfort
  • Define the necessary simulations and related costs needed in a development program based on the existing specifications
  • Check and approve simulations according the design verification plan with program team and the customer
  • Control and coordinate the performed simulations in a program
  • Be responsible for the negotiated simulation budget
  • Present the results to the development and the customer
  • Check and approve results from suppliers
  • Support pre-development, sales and marketing 
The ideal candidate would have:
  • Master's degree, PhD appreciated, in fluids mechanic – energetic – heat transfer
  • Strong experience in aerothermal coupled simulations  
  • Good knowledge of following software’s :
    • Key CFD : CCM+ or GT suite or similar
    • Thermal : Taitherm or GT suite
    • System : AMESIM or GT suite or similar
    • Scripting skills : Python or similar
  • Practical experience in the automotive or aeronautic industry
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive interior with thermal comfort
  • Product development experience and knowledge of program standards and methods
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to conduct change management with the right leadership competencies: active listening, motivating others, agility, drive for results.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and an International mind set

Minimum bi-lingual (English required) – German would be appreciated
