IT (GIS) Rotational Development Program

Our GIS Division is looking for a Rotational Development Program employee, based in Auburn Hills, MI.

 

Faurecia North America is looking for a IT Trainee who will commit to long term growth and development with Faurecia. The Rotational Development Program focuses on knowledge enhancement within the IT job family, such as Project Management, Helpdesk, Quality/governance, IT Operations, SAP, and Digital Transformation. The program’s content is built off of the academic knowledge received by the Trainee while completing their Bachelor’s degree as well as the individual needs, capabilities and objectives of the Trainee and the Organization. The program is a two year program, typically consisting of four 6-8 month cross-departamental rotations. Upon completion of the program, the Trainee will take on a demanding and challenging role within the Group Information Systems organization.

Main objectives of  possible rotations depending on employee profile & business needs:

 

IT Operations

  • Four months working as Local IT (one month in Auburn Hills, three months at a plant) and 2 months working as Level 2 Support in Auburn Hills
  • Migration, Helpdesk & new end user requests, Troubleshooting
  • Lan, Servers, WAN, Security
  • Infrastructure changes & emergency support to plants
  • Gain understanding of datacenters & L2 infrastructure support

 

ShopFloor

  • Six months working within the Shop Floor Team
  • Administration (Documentation & portfolio support, reporting)
  • Industrial Team (Data analysis, Configuration)
  • Business Analyst (staff support, facilitating change control process, managing escalations)

 

Project Management

  • Project execution following defined project steps
  • Supporting process improvements & project status management

 

Applications

  • Administration (spend tracking, resource allocations)
  • Monthly reporting
  • Shadowing resources during activities to learn basic operational processes
  • Web applications / Portal Support

 

Digital Transformation

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • University degree in the field of computer science or information systems Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Microsoft products.
  • Practical work experience through internships throughout academic career
  • Strong interest in automotive industry
  • Commitment to completing a 2 year program
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.
