Mission Statement:

Our North America Organization (“NAO”) is looking for an Operations Controller – North America at the North America Headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI.  As a key player in NAO governance, this person will work closely with the NAO Operations Controlling Director, NAO Operations Vice President and Chief Financial Officer to support and help driving transformation.

 

Critical success factors of this role include:
 

  • Ability to help driving transformation through:
  1. Measurement (NAO KPI’s and POD Dashboards)
  2. Analysis of gaps to benchmark in Operations
  3. Support implementation of Weekly and Monthly Operations Dashboards at all Operations level: Operations / RBU, plants, UAPs
     
  • Ability as a self-starter to identify opportunities and best practices in the areas of:
  1. Operational cost savings (e.g. Shop floor reviews for best practices in areas of MRO consumption)
  2. Processes (e.g. compare processes between divisions to identify best practices in items such as costing tools and/or cash forecasting)
  3. Redundant costs (e.g. transportation costs consolidation by assessing what operations could be shared versus each division having separate operations and validate those savings at NAO region level)
     
  • Ability to effectively communicate results to the NAO Operations Controlling Director, NAO Operations Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and recommend improvement actions
  • Ability to form effective relationships and motivate others in order to lead cross division analysis

 

Additional responsibilities:

  • Provide a consolidated view of operations results
  • Analyze variances between the forecasted and actual results
  • Ensure the consistency between production indicators and financial reporting
  • Provide an update of the weekly Operations meeting
  • Contribute to internal and external audit requirements

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

 

  • Business School or Engineering background with a Finance degree or Master’s degree in Finance
  • 5 to 8 years of professional experience, including plant controlling experience
  • Good accounting knowledge
  • Ideally SAP (FCS) and Oracle (Magritte) expericence
  • Ability to adjust communication style to target audience
  • Strong collaborator with teamwork sense
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
