Our North American Seating Division is looking for a US Operations Controlling Manager for its Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan


The US Operations Controlling Manager is in charge of securing the implementation of plant controlling basics, providing a consolidated view of the operational performance of the division, and managing the plant controlling teams. The main missions of the role are to :


▪     Ensure all financial related procedures and tools are implemented and followed

  • Ensure plant controlling teams are informed and trained to controlling procedures and policies and tools
  • Ensure site activities are compliant with Faurecia finance related procedures (product flow, inventory, routings,…) and internal control basics
  • Ensure consistency and standardization of controlling processes within the division
  • Alert and arbitrate in case of discrepancies


▪     Provide industrial financial communication & recommandation towards the management, especially Operation Manager

  • Ensure the coordination of financial forecasting process for plants (budget, periodic forecasts, Mid Term Plan)
  • Lead all tasks related to month end closing
  • Provide a consolidated view of operations results and communicate it to the division
  • Analyze and challenge the variances between the forecasted and actual results
  • Determine and ensure the follow up and monitor the consolidated margin per program in liaise with program controlling
  • Validate the economic justification of investments and ensure their follow up
  • Validate the economic justification of standard costs and rates used in each plant
  • Ensure the consistency between production indicators and financial reporting
  • Participate in the development of action plans and ensure their financial evaluation and follow up
  • Highlight cash status at division level (capex, inventories, overdues)

  •    Manage and support the Plant Controlling teams on all financial issues
  • Contribute to internal and external Audits requirements


 The candidate will have/be:


  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Finance, or related field, required
  • 8 to 10 years of professional experience, including a plant/manufacturing controlling experience within automotive, required
  • Good accounting knowledge
  • Strong teamwork sense
  • Strong communication skills
