Position Summary: The Purchasing Intern is responsible for aiding the Purchasing Department in completion of specific assigned tasks and projects. Through successful completion of these tasks and projects the Intern will obtain experience and knowledge within their field of educational pursuit.



  • Data processing
  • Reading Concept Engineering Bill of Materials and / or Purchasing cost synthetic view files
  • extract from those files the key information needed to understand the main features of the purchased content for a given program
  • Coordinate with the Acquisition team to gather various acquisition program details
  • Coordinate with Purchasing Commodity team and gather the Panel of supplier needed for the given acquisition for each segment to be RFI-ed
  • Review data received and confirm its adequacy
  • Upload data online in FIS program dashboard Website (currently IPPRO)
  • Running numerous monthly reports for management reviews
  • Gathering data for audits including Program Management System Milestone completion audits.
  • Supporting general purchasing commercial administrative activities
  • Additional tasks as assigned by the team, leadership and company
  • Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
  • Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site

  • Proficient level of English
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 30 to 40 hours per week, all year round


Education / Experience:

  • Full or part time student
    • Must be a currently enrolled student at an accredited university
    • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Finance, Accounting,

Supply Chain Management or any additional programs related to this field.
