Overall responsibilities and duties:

 

The Purchasing manager acquisition & Innovation is responsible to ensure that all acquisitions are quoted using the Benchmarking costs (right first time) for BOP respecting the defined supplier panel and footprint strategy & fully involved in the innovation committee of the Division & BG ensuring all projects are addressed properly within purchasing organization & suppliers.

 

The main missions of the role are:

 

  • Ensure costing estimation is done right first time,
  • Respect the timing to send an official quote to the sales/finance department
  • Drives clear, efficient communication across Purchasing, Acquisition & Innovation team and all relevant cross-functional team members
  • Ensures that target suppliers used are compliant with key requirements prior sharing the costs (e.g. conflict minerals, working conditions, Ecovadis, etc.)
  • Apply Gap to Benchmarking methodology in costing for all new acquisitions
  • Owner of Supplier Acquisition committee
  • Ensures that Purchasing documents and contracts with Suppliers agree with Seating Product Group rules and local prevailing laws
  • Collect guidance from commodity team in terms of cost models & supplier/commodity strategy
  • Contribute with global acquisition team sharing information about local suppliers & best practices
  • Provide feedback to the costing team related to BOP competitiveness
  • Contribute to the concept of Client-Offer: participate from offer conception phase and involve expert suppliers in this business acquisition phase
  • Provide Support in the make or buy decision
  • Full involvement in the Innovation committee from BG & Division
  • Capture Innovation R&D / Marketing requirements to ensure full alignment towards suppliers
  • Support supplier Tech day selection & organization
  • Manage RFI/RFQ/SNC for innovation components/projects
  • Manage supplier `s technical & process validation
  • Close integration with R&D, Innovation & Commodity team
  • Attend Innovation committee & gate reviews

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Minimum education level:  Bachelor’s degree in related field. (SCM degree and/or Master’s preferred)

 

Experience:

 

  • 5+ years Purchasing
  • 3+ years Program Management
  • 3+ years Managerial
