Overall responsibilities and duties:

 

The Human Resources Intern assists with orientating all new employees, as well as assists Human Resources Department with clerical / administrative responsibilities and HR projects.

 

The main missions of the role are:

 

  • Assist with  coordination of new-hire orientation: ensures new employees complete required forms, shows required training videos, explains company policies and benefits
  • Schedules employees for required and / or optional training
  • Assists in maintaining Site organizational charts
  • Establishes requisition files and maintains applicant data
  • Tracks and monitors Intern, Co-Op, and VIE activities
  • Assist and coordinate special events
  • Complete HRIS audits and update information as necessary
  • Maintain monthly communication letter
  • Maintains and updates personnel files
  • Performs general clerical duties: filing, tracking information, scheduling, etc.
  • Process invoices and purchase orders
  • Support payroll maintenance process
  • Other duties and special projects, as assigned

 

Minimum education level:  Must be pursing Bachelor’s degree Human Resources or related field.

 

Experience:

 

Skills & Competencies:

 

  • Knowledge of basic Human Resources principles and concepts
  • Basic knowledge of benefits administration
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Data entry skills
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Suite (primarily Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
