Our Shared Services Group is looking for a Human Resources Intern for our team in Auburn Hills, Michigan at North American Headquarters.

 

The role of the Human Resources Intern is to provide support in the daily activities of the corporate Shared Services HR Department.

 

The main missions of the role are to:

 

The Human Resources Intern can expect to be the lead on a variety of meaningful projects to improve administrative efficiencies.  The Intern will help create a more meaningful onboarding process and offer out of the box thinking to provide creative solutions to the team.

  • Coordinates and assists the HR Generalist with the full cycle recruitment process for all Information Technology and Technical openings, working with hiring managers, recruitment agencies, and respective locations to fill staffing needs:
    • Assist with open positions and applicant tracking in company databases
    • Assist with preparation of offer letters
    • Coordinate pre-employment screening with third party vendor and follow through to completion
    • Support interviewing process by partnering with the HR Generalist, hiring managers; ensure compliance with company recruitment guidelines
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding for all Technical and Salary positions:
    • Order background check, drug test and new hire welcome kit
    • Complete necessary internal new hire forms
    • Conduct first day onboarding presentation and collect required documentation
    • Manage shop floor inductions and necessary follow-up
  • Assist with basic personnel administration as necessary (payroll, benefits, reports, presentations, etc.)
  • Manage and maintain accurate documentation for all employee personnel files
  • Assist HR Generalist to request purchase orders and approve invoices in VIMS (SAP tool)
  • Assist HR Generalist to manage and update training hours for all employees in master training spreadsheet
  • Additional administrative duties as assigned

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Office, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to also manage their own individual projects
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when privy to sensitive information
  • Pursuing Bachelor degree in HR related field
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
  • Lean Management Minor Preferred
