Faurecia Interior Systems, Inc., a supplier of automotive interior systems and components, seeks a Program Manager in Auburn Hills, Michigan.  National and international travel 50%.  Duties:  manage budget, engineering, quality and delivery functions for complex, multi-plant, multi-million-dollar automotive interior systems and components programs, from program acquisition through final production; lead program commercial activities, including quoting, price negotiation, budget and profitability, material management, and collections; initiate and plan production tooling, and negotiate with suppliers of capital equipment and prototype and production tooling; evaluate engineering processes, material selection and technical product specifications to identify risks and develop opportunities for compliance with program profit targets; liaise with cross-functional teams (Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Finance, Sales) to identify and troubleshoot program issues; lead continuous improvement initiatives, including VA/VE and product benchmarking, to ensure compliance with product quality requirements; manage APQP activities, and discuss functional specifications and supplier capabilities with Program Quality Lead to meet supplier’s PPAP requirements; report and review APQP deliverables with customer to meet internal PPAP requirements; manage program core team activities to ensure highest quality/lowest cost for material selection and process definition to comply with pricing targets; evaluate manufacturing processes (injection molding, assembly, sonic and vibration welding, paint, laser weakening, thermoforming, die press) for automotive interior systems and components; draft and present progress status reports to division, regional and global management on a bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly basis; liaise with customer Engineering, Quality and Purchasing personnel on issues relating to manufacturing feasibility and quoting, PPAP and KPIs, and financial negotiation of engineering changes; lead program internal change management process.  Minimum education required:  Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or foreign equivalent degree.  Minimum experience required:  2 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering position with a Tier-1 supplier of automotive interior systems and components.  Special skills required:  Must have 2 years’ of work experience in each of the following:  managing the launch industrialization processes for automotive interior systems and components; defining parameters for manufacturing processes (assembly, sonic and vibration welding, laser weakening) for automotive interior systems and components; defining and monitoring quality control parameters for new equipment from suppliers; defining preventative maintenance schedules for manufacturing equipment (vibration welder, ultrasonic welder, laser weakening machines); reporting on manufacturing KPIs (scrap, headcount, SMED, training progress); evaluating business case proposals for engineering change requests and providing feedback for make/buy decisions; leading continuous improvement activities (stop scrap, 5s, TPM, lean manufacturing).  Experience must include one program lifecycle for automotive interior systems or components program from development phase to series production.  Experience may be acquired concurrently.  Send resume to Faurecia Interior Systems, Inc., Attn: International Mobility Department, 2800 High Meadow Circle, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326, or apply online at www.faurecia.com (Req.
