We’re hiring for our Rotational Leadership Development Program

Our Clean Mobility Division is looking for an Engineering Rotational Leadership Development Program (RLDP) Trainee who will commit to long term growth and development with Faurecia. This program’s content is built off of the academic knowledge received by the Trainee while completing their Bachelor’s degree as well as the individual needs, capabilities and objectives of the Trainee. The program is a two-year program consisting of four 6 month rotations that could be in various locations throughout the United States.  Rotational training abroad could be possible, but will be  decided upon evaluation of the individual needs, capabilities, and objectives of the Trainee’s Executive Mentor.  Upon completion of the program, the Trainee will take on a demanding and challenging leadership role in their core field.

The main objectives of the four rotations for the Engineering Trainee are defined below. An individual Rotational Development Plan will be developed upon acceptance into the program.  


Rotation I –

Purpose of this rotation: Learn production & FES

  • Experience Faurecia Excellence System, Continuous Improvement in Quality, ICB audit requirements
  • Interaction with multiple customer engineering groups
  • 4-6 weeks on production line or Prototype shop floor – multi-GAP experience
  • 4-6 weeks as a Production Supervisor, PPML, PPIC experience
  • Hoshin workshops


Rotation II – Plant Production Team Leader (IPL)

Purpose of this rotation: Understand Plant Product Launch per Production Management System

  • Follow through launch activities for Gate 3
  • Attend APQP (Advanced product quality planning) meetings
  • FES/Lean Six Sigma training
  • Full view of program launch – potential multi-site exposure


Rotation III – Design and Development

Purpose of this rotation: Basic essentials of product and process

  • 3 weeks in Product Specialist
  • 3 weeks in Process Experts
  • Engineering Fundamentals Training
  • 4 weeks  in CAE (Computer Aided Engineering)
  • 3 weeks in Tooling Coordination
  • 8 weeks in NVH/ Testing
  • Potential training opportunities in Mexico, Augsburg, Germany, Bavans, France, and/or Bangalore, India


Rotation IV – Product Development Leader (PDL) or Program Manufacturing Leader (PML)

Purpose of this rotation: Realize full cycle product/process management

  • DFMEA and PFMEA training
  • PMS Training
  • Work as a Product Development Leader or a Product Manufacturing Leader in Acquisition
  • Customer relationship management experience
  • Potential visits to Global R&D Centers



The ideal candidate

To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
  • Graduated from a University within 12 months of first rotation
  • Practical work experience through internships throughout academic career
  • Demonstrated interest in automotive industry
  • Commitment to relocating every 6 months for rotational training experiences within the 2 year program
  • Bi-lingual preferred
