Description :

The role of a Plant Accountant/Financial Analyst is to collect, analyze, validate and manage the financial data and metrics of the Manufacturing, PC&L, Quality and Engineering operations in order to support the plant's financial performance and competitiveness. The main missions of the role are to:

 

  • Gather data and conduct the appropriate analsys to validate the accuracy of the accounting and financial information for the plant operating results, according to the Group, Business Group and Division policies, including compliance with relevant accounting and tax rules
  • Identify and analyse the variances between the forecasted and actual results
  • Determine and communicate countermeasures to follow-up on raw materials inaccuracies and monitor the margins on goods sold
  • Collect and analyze the relivant data needed to validate the economic justification of investments.
  • Supports the development of plant budgets and associated forecasts, as well as plant reporting in accordance with Group procedures and deadlines
  • Participate in the development of action plans and ensure their financial evaluation in financial indicators that include Labor, Inventory, Scrap and Recovery of Overhead
  • Supports Plant Controller in the execution of Special Projects in the plant's Variance Reports, Budget Reviews, Physical Inventory, Direct Labor Efficiencies, and Direct to Indirect Operating Ratios
  • Provides all management financial support in the absence of the Plant Controller

 

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Business School or Finance/Accounting background with a Finance or Accounting Bachelors’ degree or Masters degree in Finance/Accounting
  • 3 to 5 years of accounting or finance experience
  • Industrial or operational analysis/controlling experience and strong finance & accounting knowledge 
  • Results oriented and communications skills 
  • Strong technical command of spread sheets, data bases, statistical analysis and financial software packages (e.g., Mfg. Pro, SAP, QAD, etc.)
  • English written/spoken communications capabilities required
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.
